Waste

We recycle ALL our cardboard, plastic cups, glass bottles, plastic bottles and waste paper.

The University has recycling centres on both campuses and in halls, please use these.

You can bring batteries, postage stamps and ink & toner cartridges into our offices and we will recycle them for you.

We use recyled paper in all union photocopiers and for all printing.

Energy

All union offices, bars and catering outlets are fitted with energy saving bulbs for ambient lighting and have double glazed windows

All non essential equipment and lighting is turned off when not being used.

In the Venue we are gradually replacing halogen light fittings with LED's which use less energy.

Bucks New University buys 100% of its electricity from renewable sources.

Ethical

All catering outlets run by the union sell Fairtrade products including tea, coffee, chocolate, snacks, sugar. These are Cafe Direct, Beats, and Rustybucks and Pulse at Uxbridge and University hospitality at Wycombe.
