The Bucks Student couriered to your college to keep you in the loop about everything happening at Bucks
For those of you that don’t already know Bucks Students Union runs a term time fortnightly newspaper called The Bucks Student (you can view all the editions online at bucksstudent.com/communications). The Bucks Student is run by students, edited by students and the content is written by students. The newspaper has all the latest news and events from around the University as well as all the activities run by the students union that you can access for FREE!
Every fortnight we will be couriering newspapers to each of our partner colleges for you to read. If you are interested in writing for the paper or contributing in other ways to The Bucks Student contact student.editor@thebucksstudent.com.
Providing a budget to pay Student Reps at our partner colleges
At Bucks Students Union our Student Reps are paid to represent their class and we are extending this to Student Reps who study Bucks HE courses at partner colleges.
To become a student rep you have to be elected by your class to be their representative. Once you have done that you just need to contact
Open surgeries on your campuses, to find out about your issues, held by Union Officers and Staff
Every term we will be holding open surgeries for Partner College students to turn up to and question Students Union staff and officers.
We will be up there to answer questions on any of our current campaigns or work, to listen to any feedback you want to give us about the Union, or your course and also to keep you up to date with all of the activities we have going on.
For information on when the next surgery is going to be on your campus contact tom.foy@bucks.ac.uk.
A budget for you to bid for funding to start a society
At Bucks we believe everybody is interested in something and that University is not just about what you learn inside the class room but it’s also what you do extracurricular and who you meet while you’re there.
The Union can provide all the help and support that you will need to get your society up and running and can even help provide some financial capital to get your club or society up off the ground.
If you would like to start your own society just find a group of like minded individuals and visit bucksstudent.com/studentactivities or email tansy.ratcliffe-james@bucks.ac.uk for more information.

Entry to all events at Bucks Students Union is free to all Bucks Students wherever or however you study.
