Bucks Students’ Union loves Part Time Students
A campaign to introduce electronic submission of assessment so that you don’t have to travel into campus to submit
The Union believes we must step into the 21st Century and ensure that we have submission options that support students who commute, have work or childcare commitments which makes it difficult for them to hand in work in person.
The Union however acknowledges on certain courses the nature of assessment will not accommodate electronic submission and this should be reflected in course documents at the appropriate level and clearly articulated at induction.
Most courses should now have access to the system and we are continuing to lobby for this to be accepted more widely.
Advice, support and guidance from our Advice Centre on issues ranging from funding to appeals
The Advice Centre listen to and support students on accommodation, legal issues, personal problems, money advice, international problems and course problems.
The Welfare Advisors use experience and knowledge on student issues to influence University thinking to help create a positive impact on your time at Bucks. We recognise that Part Time Students are often juggling many other responsibilities and therefore may experience more difficulties during their student life. Also some Part Time Students may be eligible for benefits, the Advice Centre is able to advised students on this.
Please feel free to contact any of us if you are experiencing any problems, all advice Centre staff operate within a confidentiality policy

A new Union led feedback initiative that enables part-time students to submit their thoughts and issues electronically
The Union are aware that it can be difficult for certain students, and student groups, to provide feedback on the positive and negative aspects of their experience. As a Union however we are equally committed to faithfully representing you and striving to make your time at Bucks as positive as possible. With that in mind we are developing new mechanisms to enable you to provide us with feedback. Part time students can now submit positive experiences and issues of concern through this online form which can be found by clicking here.
