Hughenden path clean-up

Bucks New University students teamed up with Thames Valley Police Community Support Officers and members of a High Wycombe-based homeless hostel, The Old Tea Warehouse, to clear litter and debris from a well-used but unloved path in Hughenden.
Oxjam event

Oxjam is Oxfam’s answer to Live Aid. Volunteers from across the UK put on music events in their local area, raising money to combat the world-wide poverty crisis. Verity Harris, Jamie Alexander and Jaime Ashton, Music Management and Artist Development students, decided that they wanted to join the cohort of people across the country raising money for Oxfam by putting on their very own Bucks Oxjam.
Elderly Christmas dinner

On the 7 December 2011, Bucks Students' Union opened its doors to residents of Catherine Court Care Home, which houses people suffering from dementia and Abbeyfield House sheltered housing. The fifteen elderly residents, travelling from Cressex and Wendover respectively, enjoyed a full Christmas dinner with all of the trimmings in the Students' Union Venue, hosted by our students.
