The work of the Students' Union, as a representative body, is firmly grounded in student opinion. Your thoughts on what we do and how we do it really matters to us.
We now have a dedicated research coordinator who undertakes projects for all Union departments and frequently works in partnership with the University on projects such as the National Student Survey. The research covers all aspects of what we do and the service we provide, from catering to entertainments, academic issues to campaigns.
Summary sheets
All research reports will be included in our research library, hosted on the Student Reps Organisation in Blackboard. Visit blackboard.bucks.ac.uk for more information.
Summary sheets will also be available in hard copy at either Students’ Union Office. These summary sheets will give you a brief overview of the findings, picking out the key statistics and quotes from the main reports - be sure to refer to these when looking for evidence for your own campaigns.
Coming soon to the research library
We will also be adding summaries of past programme committees to the library so that you can easily find out what issues have happened in the past in your area and how they were addressed.
Don't forget, if you need evidence for any of your own work, speak to our Research Coordinator, Gemma Heath. Gemma will be able to help you find information within the research library and even help you conduct your own research.
