Bucks Students' Union - Board Member & Trustee
(three positions vacant)
Bucks Students’ Union is seeking to recruit three new external trustees to join our board and support our future growth. As a registered charity with a turnover in excess of £2 million and a full-time staff team of 40, Bucks Students’ Union provides a range of membership and commercial services to our 9,000 strong student body.
Our services include an Advice Centre and Representation Department, a 1,500 capacity licensed venue, four catering outlets, a vibrant student newspaper and a wide ranging programme of sporting, recreational and volunteering activities. This is all supported by our Communications and Marketing Department which houses the Union’s research function.
As part of our Board you will support the Chief Executive, President and other elected officers in the continued delivery of our high quality services and assuring the long term sustainability of the organisation.
We would welcome applicants with a keen understanding of higher education and issues affecting students and young people. In particular we would encourage applications from individuals with financial, human resources, training and policy and research expertise.
All trustee positions are voluntary (expenses provided) and offer a range of personal development opportunities.
